Bringing Light to San Jose’s Downtown

Lunchtime Forum

The Illuminating Downtown Project is San Jose’s multi-year undertaking to bring a series of interactive lighting projects to the city’s core. Once completed, the project will make the downtown a beacon for residents and visitors alike. Four projects already underway — including the Highway 87 underpasses at Santa Clara and San Pedro streets – and many more planned. Come hear about the history of this plan, the next steps and how it is serving as inspiration for other neighborhoods around the city.
